Impact of Tourism in U.S.A

Introduction
Tourism is the largest employment industry worldwide. It has a prominent role in contribution to the world economic growth. In 2014, tourism generated over 227 million direct jobs for native citizens of America that generated US$7.6 trillion (10% of global GDP) for the global economy. Tourisms is defined to be the key importance of embracing cultural values in different communities. This paper discuss the positive, negative and environmental effect of tourisms in the U.S.A.
Positive impacts of tourism in the U.S.A economy
Tourists help the U.S.A to earn more revenue during their travel leisure time. Revenue is generated from the money they spend in accommodation, travel visits, entertainment, food and souvenirs. Companies that offers these services employ native citizens of America. This helps to create job opportunities. Thus, eradicating poverty. Vendors supplying the goods benefit from a higher volume of wholesale trade (Media Inc. 2016). All this have a positive impact to the U.S.A economy.
Negative social impacts of tourism in U.S.A
Tourism attracts a significant number of individuals in a particular area which in most instances causes overcrowding. Such case are experienced when Common tourists attraction sites attracts more individuals than what the normal infrastructure can support.  This interns leads to increase of criminal activity and limited community support for residential rights (Media Inc. 2016). Excessive drinking and driving, drug use and prostitution are some evil that are common in tourist attraction sites.
Environmental impacts of tourism in U.S.A
There are positive and negative impact of tourists to the environment. One of the positive factor is the government works in hand with individuals of a particular region to plant trees and maintain high standard hygiene within a specified tourist attraction site. On the contrary, a negative impact on tourism in U.S.A is often experienced when the number of tourists exceeds the environmental ability to accommodate individuals comfortably. This may lead to increase of soil erosion, discharge of waste material to natural water bodies, increase of pollution, vulnerable to forest fire and threat to endangered spices.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it is evident from the case study above that tourism has a positive effect to U.S.A economy. Nevertheless, it also has a negative effect to social and environmental impact to the country. It’s an obligation to the ministry of Tourism and foreign affairs to come up with detailed schedule plan that can accommodate specific number of individuals within a given tourists attraction site to eradicate over population during tourist visits. This will play a vital role to social and environmental effects of tourism that are cause by over population.
